1) DeLorean DMC-12(Back to the Future)
Great Scott! Si no fuera por Volver al Futuro el DeLorean DMC-12 habría sido sólo una leyenda del automóvil oscuro. En cambio, el coche gaviota de alas deportes está grabado en las mentes de los fanáticos del mundo. Este DeLorean no era mucho para superar 88 millas por hora – no sin tener que viajar a 1885 o 2015. Coche de el doctor Brown consistía en un condensador de flujo, un avanzado sistema de viajes en el tiempo y un modo de vuelo.
2) Ford Mustang(Death Race-Remake)
Si la única manera de salir de la cárcel es por las carreras de Jason Statham en un Mustang 2008 de Ford … probablemente estás jodido. Este remake moderno del culto de David Carradine éxito, Death Race cuenta con una
serie de paseos en solitario modernizados. Sin embargo, el blindado, lanzallamas Mustang es el rey, probablemente debido a que Ford suministra la mayoría de los vehículos para la película.
3) Cimbria Super Sport(Death Race-Original)
Puede parecer malo para nosotros, pero la industria del automóvil y las industrias de armas va a florecer sin duda! Como los australianos nos trajo Mad Max Latina nos trajo Death Race 2000 .Situado en La trama fina pero entretenida gira en torno a los corredores fuera de la ley que se desafían unos a otros, junto con cualquier peatón que se cruce en su camino. Los puntos se anotan no sólo por la rapidez con que llegar a un punto de control, sino también por el número, género y edad de los que asesinan en el camino.
4) Plymouth Fury 1958(Christine)
Cuando John Carpenter y Stephen King unen fuerzas que sabe que va a tener miedo. Christine protagonizó una posesión del 58 Furia, que llegó a acumular un número de muertos decente(9). En cuanto al coche en sí era completamente indestructible, no importa que le hicieran siempre se auto-reparaba.
5) Checker Marathon(Escape from L.A)
Otro auto ideal para Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) para ayudar a rescatar a la hija del Presidente después de que su avión fuese derribado sobre una isla de Manhattan se volvió prisión de máxima seguridad.
Los taxis Checker Marathon fueron hechas específicamente para los servicios de librea lo largo de sus años de servicio, hasta principios de los años 80, cuando los coches de Ford y Chevrolet se convirtió en los taxis normales
de color amarillo en Nueva York.
6) Aston Martin DB 5(James Bond)
El DB5 es parte integral de James Bond a estas alturas. Sean Connery lo manejó en Golfinger (su primera aparición).
Sus sucesores en el rol del carismático agente británico, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan y Daniel Craig conducen uno también.
7) Match 5(Meteoro)
El exitoso animé de carreras de los 60s, la serie original tuvo 52 episodios, aunque tuvo numerosas versiones
posteriores e incluso fue llevado al cine en 2008 de la mano de los hermanos Wachowski, creadores de la saga Matrix.
El Match 5, auto de Meteoro, era un todo en uno: podia saltar, tenía sierras para cortar obstáculos, tenia vidrios a pruba
de balas e incluso podía usarse bajo el agua.
8) Ford Gran Torino(Starsky & Hutch)
Famosa serie de tv norteamericana. Los protagonistas eran dos policías californianos, David Starsky y Kenneth Hutchinson. Eran conocidos por manejar un veloz y distintivo Ford Torino, pintado de
rojo con una larga franja blanca, generalmente conducido por Starsky. Se hizo una película de esta serie en el 2004, con Ben Stiller interpretando a Starsky y Owen Wilson haciendo de Hutch.
9) Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe modificado(Mad Max)
Mad Max es una película australiana con tintes apocalípticos protagonizada por Mel Gibson, en el que este interpreta a
un policía llamado Max, ocupado en la manutención de la seguridad vial, conocidos como la Patrulla de Fuerza Central.
El auto mas memorable de la misma es un Ford Falcon modificado, con el que Max persigue a motociclistas pandilleros. Solo se construyò uno para la primera película y usaba un motor Ford Cleveland 351 V8, de 300 caballos y 515 Nm de torque.
10) Dodge Charger(Los Dukes de Hazzard)
Famosa serie de tv en la que los hermanos Duke, dos “buenos muchachos” se metían en problemas con los oficiales de policía del condado, poniéndolos en peligro cada semana. Sin embargo, la estrella real del programa era el auto de los Dukes, el "General Lee", un Dodge Charger de 1969 pintado de naranja brillante y con una bandera de la Confederación en su techo.
11) Dodge Monaco modificado para policia(The Blues Brothers)
Comedia musical de 1980, de las más aclamadas de su género.Cuando Jake Blues sale de la cárcel, él y su hermano Elwood van a visitar el orfanato donde fueron criados por las monjas. Allí se enteran de que la Iglesia ha dejado de financiar el orfanato y va a venderlo a no ser que se pague el impuesto sobre la propiedad en el plazo de 11 días. Los hermanos deciden recaudar ese dinero reuniendo a su banda de blues para dar un gran concierto. En el camino tendrán múltiples persecuciones de autos, en las que participan con el “Bluesmobile”, un Dodge Monaco.
12) Ferrari 308 GTS(Magnum,Detective Privado)
Serie norteamericana de tv que trataba de las aventuras de Thomas Magnum, un investigador privado que vivía en
Hawaii, interpretado por Tom Selleck. Lo más destacado sobre Magnum eran sus camisas floreadas, sus bermudas, su gorra de los Tigres de Detroit, su bigote y, claro, el llamativo Ferrari 308 GTS rojo que conducía, llegando a ser éste
como un personaje más de la serie.
13) Pontiac Firebird Trans Am(El Auto Fantastico)
Serie de tv norteamericana de los años 80, todo un hito de la época. En ella el protagonista era el actor David Hasselhoff interpretando a Michael Knight, un defensor de los pobres y desamparados que conduce un coche inteligente llamado KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand). Dicho auto era todo un clásico del cine norteamericano, el Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
14) GMC Vandura(Brigada A)
Serie clásica de los 80s, narraba las ficticias aventuras de un grupo de ex combatientes de Vietnam, acusados de un delito que no habían cometido y desde entonces se ofrecen como mercenarios a sueldo para defender a gente en problemas. Un emblema de la serie era la camioneta que los transportaba, una GMC negra con franjas rojas, manejada por Mario Barakus.
15) Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulancia(Ghostbusters)
Si hablamos de autos de película míticos, el Ecto 1 de los Cazafantasmas está entre los primeros sin lugar a dudas. La primera película de Los cazafantasmas salio en 1984 y fue un rotundo éxito, quedando en el colectivo popular el logo
,la canción y el Ecto-1, ambulancia Cadillac devenida a vehiculo para capturar manifestaciones ectoplasmáticas.
16) Dodge Charger & Toyota Supra(Fast & Furious)
Poco se puede agregar de esta serie de películas en un blog de autos que los lectores no conozcan, pero a pesar de
que han pasado muchos autos durante 4 películas hay dos que han resaltado: el Toyota Supra modificado que maneja O’Conner y el impresionante Dodge Charger de Toretto, modificado a 900 caballos aproximadamente
(y con esa largada inolvidable en la que lo para haciendo willie sobre las ruedas traseras).
